Last weekend was the last mid German Championship round before the grand final in Munster. Saturday was a little bit cloudy but dry, so most drivers were looking to find the best set-up for the low-grip track.
I had to work on Saturday so that I just could turn 5 laps Sunday morning before the first qualification round. After three qualifying rounds, Dirk Wischnewski was in front with the only 19lap for this day, followed by Sebastian Kunz, Jens Schmitt and myself, so we were already qualified for the main final.

After both half finals, the following drivers were qualified for the 30min main final:

It was a warm 24°C when we started the race, and Dirk dominated from the beginning. Behind him it was a tough battle and some drivers were handicapped by engine problems or because they touched the small wall of the infield. Meanwhile, Dirk turned very clean laps and won the final by an incredible 8 lap advantage. Bertram Kessler completed his race without mistake and a fantastic 2nd position, followed by Jens Schmidt in 3rd. I was handicapped by some interference problems which cost me over 3 laps, so I couldnâ™t do any better than 4th place.

Once again XRAY confirms the performance of the NT1 with 5 cars in the final.
The whole team is looking very confident for the final German championship from August 31st â“ September 2nd in Munster.
