The annual Radiosistemi Trophy was held on the weekend of November 17-18 in Toscana (Lucca city). This is a special invitation race where all the best drivers were invited to battle for the coveted trophy. A total of 81 Senior drivers and 41 Junior drivers participated. The track was bumpy from the beginning and it was necessary to have a perfect set-up to contend with the bumps and be fast at same time
Junior Class
Driving a MaxPower-powered XB8, Daniele Monzani dominated the qualification in the Junior class followed by Francesco Liggeri and French driver Frederic Gautier. Another XB8 came in 4th place with Tommaso Andreuccetti at the controls.
In the final, Monzani unfortunately had problems with his steering servo right from the beginning. Another XB8 driver, Ivan Marini, had a really good race and finished in 3rd place.
In the Senior class, Davide Tortrici got TQ followed by Jerome Sartel, Nicolas Rodriguez, Carlo Iacopini, Riccardo Perin (XB8EC) and Alessandro Laffranchi (XB8EC).
It was a really good start with Sartel leading, followed by Tortorici, Lafranchi, and Perin. Laffranchi was fastest and after some great driving, overtook the lead. His car worked really well. At half way, Tortorici had problems due to the heavy track conditions. Jerome Sartel and Stefano Rossi finished in 2nd and 3rd place.
