This was the greatest event! It was a 2-day event and the track was completed just in time for the GS Cup with the Christmas tree format. Due to the refurbish track, awesome layout, and the support of all local distributors sponsorship, a lot of international RC drivers were attracted to this event. There were more than 150 participants from Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia, Taiwan, Macau, and Hong Kong as well as local Malaysian drivers.

On Day 1, the weather conditions are great and shiny. All drivers complete their 10 minutes with a total of 3 qualifying rounds. Day 1 qualifying ended with a TQ by Team XRAY driver Meen.V (Thailand).
The top 5 drivers would remain in the Final and wait for the completion of Christmas tree driver challenges for the Final. With the Christmas tree, 10 drivers would qualify in the final with the top 5 qualifiers. This is the first time in Malaysia 1/8 off-road buggy that 15 drivers would be running in the grand final.

On Day 2, the Christmas tree started on time with 1/32 groups A & B. Unfortunately, heavy rain fell around 3:00PM and the organizer was forced to put the semi-final on hold until the rain stopped. Finally around 5:30PM we were able to complete the semi-finals. After the semi-final the results were the following:

Now came the exciting Final round, but the 1-hour final race had to be shortened to 30 minutes due to the limited amount of daylight left. Finally the race got started and it rained off and on throughout the final race.
Meen.V (XRAY) and Wayne Walker kept changing the lead during the race, and the race ended with Wayne Walker winning by 7 seconds over Meen.V (although Meen.V got the best lap of all Top 15 drivers in the final with 36.725sec) WOW! What an exciting race!
