Round 3 of the Turkish Nationals was held at the technical Hezarfen track in Istanbul. The track was renovated especially for the Nationals . Because of the new fresh asphalt, both grip and tyre wear were very high. It was windy all day Saturday and this made it very difficult to drive. The qualifying heats on Saturday showed that the NT1 cars were in top position.
An NT1 got the best time in seeding, taking 33 laps in the two qualifying session setting the track record for the 1/10 GP class.
The A Final of the day was the 60min 1/10 Touring Car final. The race started cleanly and positions didn't change for a while. Only at lap 6 did I make a major mistake which caused the car to fly to the fences at the end of straight; luckily the car had no damage but the engine stopped.. This cost me some laps and I lost my lead position and put me down 3 laps from leader "Murat Özcan".

My RB-powered NT1 was still fast and could get better lap times than the other cars. After lap 63, I took my NT1 into the lead again dominated the race to the finish with no problem. The car performed well and was incredibly fast in the corners. My pitman Özgür Derin was unbelievably fast in refuelling; it took him only 3 seconds. I think that was another record for us.
