To enjoy the longest possible lifespan of the drive shafts, it is extremely important to properly service the drive shaft pins.

There is no reason to change the entire drive shaft when only the shaft pin is worn out. For this reason the HUDY Drive Pin Replacement Tool will save you money.

1. Do not use drive shafts when the pins are worn.

2. Press out the worn pins.

3. Press in new pins and regularly inspect for wear.

In order to extend the life of the pin, we recommend using #106210 HUDY Graphite Grease. The grease prevents direct contact between the pin and the outdrive, and increases lubrication for longer pin lifespan.

1) Apply the grease on the shaft as shown.

2) Insert the drive shaft into the outdrive and try to not remove the grease from the shaft.

NOTICE: Regularly replace the grease on the shaft.
