The final race in the WA Challenge Cup Series was run by RRC at Whiteman Park in Perth on a tempory grass track laid out for the weekend. Saturday and Xray buddies Haley and Cornwall pushed each other in qualifying taking one two at the top of the sheet, TQ falling to Ian.

Both XT8s ran a similar setup, Pauls however had some carefully mounted spiked tyres with a reduced overall diameter giving his Xray great acceleration and handling on the tight track.
Sunday brought the finals and the rain! Haley lead from the start Paul chasing hard only for his engine to flame at the second stop, his challenge effectively over. A race of attrition followed with many competitors hitting trouble in the wet.
At the end Haleys XT8 came home the winner for the round and overall Series Champion.
