The start went well, Anderton got away in 1st and Gerika manage to pass Charles Hollander who qualified in second. She stayed in 2nd for the rest of an uneventful race. The second main race was more challenging for Gerika as she was in 3rd until Charles made a mistake allowing her to move into 2nd place. Super Stock class had a tense moment before the start of the race as the battery Gerika was to use over charged due to charger problems and another older pack had to be used as a substitute. The first few laps were a bit hectic due to mistakes by drivers. Gerika ended up leading the race but was under pressure due to the battery problems. She was driving as tight of a line as possible. She touched the curb and a lap later she was in 5th where she ended the first main. In the second main Gerika got away in 3rd then worked her way up to second. She put pressure on the leader Willie du Plooy and made the pass when he ran wide on a corner. Gerika protected her lead position and maintained it to the end. The winner of the first main Andre Janse van Rensburg could only manage a 9th, giving Gerika 1st overall.
