This past weekend the ROAR region 9 regionals were held at Mikeâ™s Hobbies and Gulf Coast Raceway located in Houston, TX. Mikes Hobbies is a first class facility that has a hobby shop, on road track (2007 ROAR Sedan Fuel Nats) and a great off-road road tack fully covered so racing rain or shine.

Qualifying got started on Saturday and with the track breaking up it was important to get a good run in the first round. In Expert buggy and Expert Truggy Jason Branham would take overall TQ for both classes and in Sportsman buggy new comer Clay Sheward drove his way to TQ with his Xray XB8TQ.
In the mains the track was showing signs of some very close heads up racing because it had become pretty rough and the jumps were getting questionable to jump. Jason Branham saw early pressure but managed to stay clean and take home victories in both Expert Buggy and Truggy. In the Sportsman A-main TQ Clay Sheward managed to drive a clean race and led the final from wire to wire for his first Regional win.
