It was a bright and sunny morning, 55 participants of all brands including the 1/8th drivers were there to kick off the first round of 09 Series Championship.

Qualifying
In qualifying, everyone was still searching for the perfect setup for the morning traction, XRAY driver Tom Gog was first to hit 21Laps in 7.10mins to secure a place in the A-final, Team XRAY driver Erwin Luhur also booked his spot in the final with 21 laps 7.12min. In the last group of round 1 qualifying, Team XRAY Driver Jesse Wu was in blistering pace and blasted his NT1 to the top spot clocking the fastest time of the day, 21 laps 7.02min taking 6 seconds off 2nd qualifier Phillip Lee. After 3 rounds of qualifying the standings were:

Final
The 45mins final started smoothly, except for XRAY driver Tom Goh who has a bad start. Jesse Wu was leading until a collision with the car in 2nd position caused him to flip, while Erwin battled fiercely for a top 3 position. At the 10mins mark, Jesse Wu and Tom Goh fought their way back to the 4th and 5th positions. They were closing up on the front pack until Jesse Wu had his carburetor come loose, ending his race. Erwin had a drastic front tyre wear that slowly dropped him from position. Everybody's attention was on Tom Goh and Nelson Lee as they battled fiercely for 3rd place to the finishing line. Unfotunately, Tom lost out by a millisecond.
