Race report by Ricardo Monteiro
The EFRA GP was held this last weekend at the track in Guarda, Maçainhas. Approximately 50 drivers all came to see the best of Portugal and some international racing on the transformed Guarda track.

On Friday all we had was practice heats (for reseeding, also). I tried to adapt to the track and the layout and also tried to adjust car settings to improve my carâ€s times.

On Saturday there were 5 qualifiers of which the best 3 counted. In all heats I tried to drive consistent and fast runs. After the best 3 qualifiers I got an overall 7th place which guaranteed my place in the semi-finals.

For the semi-finals I was going to need a flawless run if I wanted to bump up to the main final. With drivers like Savoya, Vega, Gustavsson I knew it was going to be the toughest semi-final that I had ever run. In the end I made a good 4th place which bumped me to the main final and into a 6th place on the grid.

In the main I had a bad start and at about the 4 minute mark I had a flame-out. After that I tried hard to regain lost time. When I started to gain back my time the car stopped in the middle of the track, with a rock sticking the brakes closed. After this I tried hard to at least roll with the best drivers. By the end I got up to a disappointing 8th place, but I was still happy to know that I made similar laptimes as the best drivers.
