| In the last round of the Swiss Championships, I secured the title of Swiss Champion in the E10 TC Modified category. After winning the second round in Oey, the third in Lostallo (TQ) and the fourth in Baar (TQ), I arrived in Dintikon several points ahead of the field. |

| I had only previously spent one day training on the track, and that was a year ago. Then, the tarmac had just been re-laid and was absolutely brand new - the weather has since taken its toll and made a massive difference to the surface. |
|
|
My basic set-up, however, still worked well and I managed the second fastest time of the day. I made some minor changes to the steering and tried out different bodies to help me find the right cornering speed - not an easy task thanks to the several 180-degree hairpin corners. Some of the drivers still hadn't found the right set-up by the final rounds later on, and overshot by several metres. Thankfully, without affecting my performance, too!
With the main challengers behind me, I was looking forward to Sunday. |

Heats
I managed to stay with my rivals in the heats without having to take any major risks, and secured starting position 5.

Final
I kept pace with my opponents in the finals, too, and drove a tactical race. Successfully pulling ahead of the competition, I secured the title of 2009 Swiss Champion after the second final with a several-point lead. I finished the last regional race with a final position of fourth. |
