Last weekend was the first National Race for 1/10-200 and 1/8. This year both classes were held on the same day because of the reduced number of entries... only 17 drivers in each class.

The Torres Novas track was a completely new track. It was very short with a lot of curves, very demanding. At the end of the qualifying heats, Team XRAY drivers were in 4th and 5th positions.
The semi-finals went on without any major problems. Filipe Costa won his semi-final and Gonçalo Almeida became 3rd in the other semi-final so all team drivers were in the final. Filipe Costa (on pole) had a bad start and so did Bruno Coelho, so there was a nice battle until Bruno got engine problems. Then Filipe took over the lead until the end of the race. Gonçalo had problems at the start and started from 11th position. After the first lap he was up to 6th and after 5 more minutes he was up to 3rd. With Brunoâ™s problems he took 2nd place but a small mistake near the end of the race put him back into 3rd place.
