The Sun Hobby Buggy Challenge was held on May 16, 2010 in Medan, North Sumatera, Indonesia. There was total 18 racers of 1/8 Buggy divided into two groups with three qualifying rounds of 10 minutes for each qroup. The race organizer used the 3-driver bump-up system. The final was divided into 3 groups: C final (15 min), B final (20 min), and A final (30 min).

The weather in the morning was very sunny and about 40°C at the track. The track was still dusty and slippery as my first time there on February 28, 2010. The Medan RC community changed the layout and made a bridge so we needed to pass through the tunnel and jump over the 1m-wide bridge. In this new track layout, most racers got an average best lap of around 60 sec, but Edy Susanto reached 52.452 sec while I got only a 56.155 sec best laptime.

The weather become cloudy after the third qualifying round. The race could run until the A final started. However, after 20 minutes the rain started so the race director decided to end the race at 25 minutes.
