During the final of the 1/10 Touring Car class of Xceed TRS Asia Open Championship 2010 in Thailand, Samuel started in 3rd. During the race, the TQ driver (Wang Haifeng) had engine problems which allowed Samuel to pass him and take the lead. After a 5-minute battle, Wang still trailed behind Samuel by within 1 second. Then, Wang went into the lead when Samuel pitted. This remained for around 6 minutes, then Wang went in to pit for fuel and Samuel regained the lead again. Finally, Samuel won the competition by only 3.426 seconds; his best lap was 18.347, while Wang's best lap was 18.567. Pre-Ola made no mistakes and took 3rd place.
