The MRCC Buggy Challenge 2011 was held on February 27, 2011 in Medan, North Sumatera, Indonesia which is about 2.5 hours flying-time from Jakarta. This RC track is owned by the Medan Radio Control Community and its location is only 5 minutes away from Polonia International Airport. The weather was around 36°C and 40°C at the track. The track was high speed, technical and still dusty, and it was a little bit better than last yearâ s condition.

There was a total of 23 racers in this race with 5 racers from Jakarta and 2 racers from Banjarmasin, Kalimantan. The race format was three rounds of 10min qualifying, and three rounds of finals (A-C) with 4 drivers bumping up. The C-final was 20 minutes, B-final was 30 minutes, and A-final was 45 minutes of racing time. The average laptime was at this track was about 50â“51 sec. I got the best lap at 48.932sec in a qualifying round and 49.349sec in the final round.
After 3 qualifying rounds, I got TQ with 12 laps @ 10.44.172 which was only 1sec faster than 2nd place racer Edy St who got 12 laps @ 10.45.020.
At the final round, I started on pole position but as usual since many cars hit my own car, I dropped to 6th place in the first lap. I push my car until I got back into the lead around 10 minutes into the race, and I finished with 49 laps @ 45.04.486 (2 laps ahead of 2nd place).
