Round 1 of the Amsci Italian Nationals took place on the wonderful track of Bientina. This year the outdoor championship provides three rounds while the indoor championship will be on December 2-3. The event had 60 drivers divided into the two classes that are now dominating the European scene: Modified (called E-1) and 13.5T No Timing (called E-Stock). The race was only on Sunday but the drivers were at the track since Friday or Saturday to find the best set-up. On Sunday, before starting the qualifying rounds, the rain started to fall. From that moment the race was declared âśwet.âť The track conditions were never the same round after round, alternating between wet, humid, and dry. After 5 qualifying rounds, Taddei Maurizio was TQ in E-Stock and Alessio Menicucci was TQ in E-1.
