Sunday the race was at Telgate for the second out of four races for the UISP Italian Championship. This second round was our first race on asphalt. The Telgate circuit is designed for electric cars with lots of tight corners and tricky curbs. Thanks to the work of the Thunders group that dealt with the grip of the track, it was good to race on it.

The weather forecast did not leave too much hope for a dry race, but fortunately apart from two drops of rain that stopped the first qualifying round, the remaining two were raced without rain.
Alessio and I arrived on the track on Friday, after some testing we decided to work on a set-up using the 2.0mm chassis. The car was immediately very fast but it was only on Saturday afternoon – thanks to the track conditions – that we found a good set-up that allowed us to obtain very good times.

Returning to the race, the rain arrived during the course of the first qualifying session, thus making it a 'round by round' mode and not the usually 'better performance'.

Qualifications Mod
The first qualifying race on a wet track saw Menicucci 1st, followed by Donadelli in 2nd and Martini in 3rd.
In the second one, the track was drying and all the drivers decided to use dry tires.

My car was impressive and very fast .Even with an error I managed to close ahead, followed by Menicucci and Brunelli.

In the third session, the track conditions were perfect and by then I hadn't had any problems to reconfirm the performance of the second qualification. Brunelli was 2nd and Menicucci was 3rd after the qualifying session.

Final Mod
Good impressions in the qualifications sessions can only be confirmed in the finals: my car is very fast and easy to drive.
This allowed me to win the first and second, allowing me to enjoy the spectacle of the third one where Menicucci and Brunelli fought with equal points after the first two finals.
In the final third Alessio wanted to bring home the result, and Brunelli help him make a mistake that made that mission easier for Alessio.
