During the weekend of the 15th September the C.I. UISP Champioship took place on beautifull track in Gubbio. This year, unlike in the past, it was only a single race championship in 3 categories: modified, stock F1 and stock F2. F1 and F2 differ only in the level of skills of the drivers.

Qualifications
On Saturday we started with the qualifications and Mattia Collina in stock F1 category showed immediately he is going to be the man to beat. In just three laps he built 1 second gap ahead of the second driver. He got the TQ followed by another XRAY driver Alessio Tolomelli and Nico Catelani in third.
Stock F2 qualifications were all about a duel between XRAY driver Marco Marino and Andrea Senni until the end with Senni having more luck and getting the pole position on the final grid.

The modified category was much closer. My car was fabulous and I was able to get the TQ followed by fast Diego Macchioni and Alessandro Ciaccheri, also driving XRAY cars. Alessio Menicucci, last year champion, finished 7th in the qualification.

Finals
Mattia Collina dominated also the finals not giving any chance to someone else to take the victory and title. Maurizio Bicchi on XRAY came in the third place.
In the F2 Senniâ s experience led him to victory. It is worth mentioning the great race of the young Gabriel Berselli that crossed the finish line in third position on hisXRAY T4.
For me the finals in the modified category was a complete disaster as I was involved in a few crashes during the race and couldnâ™t do better then fifth.
