The beautiful track in Fiorano Modenese hosted the first edition of the Memoria Gualtiero Picco , a race that has collected some of the best Italian 1/8 drivers.
Although a bit ' of bad weather, the race went well thanks to the great work done by the staff at the Fiorano track .
The Qualifying see in TQ Lamberto Collari followed by Salemi Mirko and Alberto Picco. In 8th place is Ciurlante Andrea that he could fit in the top four if not committed mistake in qualifying, however, very pleased with the result his XRAY RX8. Final started of seeing an early lead Collari Lamberto immediately followed by Picco and Salemi. After about 10 minutes Ciurlante Andrea bump up to the 3rd position, shortly Collari retired with problems, so we see the head Alberto Picco followed from Ciurlante and Marco Vanni. At 18 minutes of race another twist, a light rain makes the track very slippery which sees forced all the drivers to change tires. At the end of the race we see the RX8 of Ciurlante fly over slippery asphalt of Fiorano track, gaining the victory. It was great to see a private driver Andrea who was able to compete with his RX8 to the factory team drivers including the world champion and at the end winning the race with a stock car out of the box.
