The 2nd round of Xray Challenge Moravia and Slovakia Cup was held on 16.11.2013 in Hudy Racing Arena. The race was attended by more than 110 drivers in both on road and off-road categories. Off road was divided into 2wd and 4wd categories and on-road into modified, 17.5 stock, 21.5 stock, WGT, and formula. The race started on Friday afternoon with free practice which continued until midnight. Saturday was the race day with 3 qualifiers rounds and 3 finals for all drivers.

Off road category was attended by top Czech and Slovakia drivers in front with European Champion Martin Bayer who was not only driving both 4WD and 2WD class but was available during both days for technical support to all drivers.
Drivers in 4WD class had an extra reason to win this class. The reason to win was not only to be first and beat European Champion but they had also great opportunity to win Martin`s car. His car was extra prize for the winner of this class. Even though all drivers were trying hard, nobody was able to beat him. Even though his brother Ales was really fast and tried to put some pressure on Martin, he always made some small mistake which would allow Martin to create some gap and win the race.

Formula class was in hands of Juraj Hudy who dominate the race by winning always by almost one lap. Juraj drove a modified X10 into an F1 car.

21.5 stock is the main category of Slovakia cup and the fight for the win is always between Tono Sloboda and Oskar Malatinsky. This time Tono was slightly faster and was able to TQ and win in front of Oskar. One to watch in this class was only 9 years old Oliver Havranek. Even though Oliver is very young and he drives only for a short time, already on this race he was able to put some pressure on favorites of this class and in one final he was even able to finish on 3rd place.

Even though the favorite for 17.5 stock class was David Nemcek, who finished many times in A final in stock class at ETS races, the race was not as easy for him as he expected. The big surprise of this race was czeh driver Michal Vitamvas for whom this is only his first season in touring cars and Michal was able to put some pressure on David and finish very close behind him in each final. Third finished Martin Babovsky.

GT pan car class was also very fun to watch as the traction was very high and the technical layout made the car super fast even with 21.5 motors. Due to the high traction, many drivers had problem with traction rolling which made the race even more exciting. The race was dominated by Igor Liptak who TQ`d and won all 3 finals

Modified class was most attended class with all the best Slovak and Czech drivers. Except me, there were several other favourites of this class and those were ETS stock champions Zdenko Kunak and Marek Cerny. My car was working superb whole day and therefore I had no problem to set TQ by a significant margin as my lap times were in average 0.2 sec faster than the rest. Marek Cerny was super fast as well but had a lot of traffic problems during qualifiers as the difference between the top drivers and the rest of the field was quite big and we had to pass many drivers during the run. Zdenko was also improving during the day as he was changing his set up a lot and at the end of qualifiers he started to be competitive as well.

The finals were more exciting than it was excepted as I decided to change tires for final as those from qualifiers were worn a lot. The new tires made my car push a lot after start which caused that I made a mistake and Zdenko was able to win first final. Because I did not want to risk anymore, I went back to my qualifiers tires and was able to win second and third final by a nice margin. At the end Marek was able to finish second in front of Jirka Vysin as Zdenko`s car seems to be too difficult to drive which let him to make some mistakes in both second and third finals.

The race was held in friendly atmosphere and well organized so it was very enjoyable event. The next Xray Moravia and Slovakia cup is held on 7th December and all of you are welcome again.
