This weekend happened the 2nd race of the national championship on Madeira Islandon Funchal track, where the European 1/8 championship was held in 2000 and where we get to the finals for the first time and Bruno was only 9 years old. It is also a fantastic place to spend a well-deserved vacation because the island is magnificent with lush landscape of flowers and trees hiding the whole pageantry of the roads inside the canopy.

But for us it was a weekend with a lot of work because there are many XRAY drivers in scale 1/10 and 200mm and after we checked our cars and everything was working as it should it was time to help our teammates and others who also needed help tuning their cars.
Sunday race day: It is necessary to be careful because the track is very fast, abrasive, and any carelessness can destroy the car. In qualifying heats in 1/10 we quickly reach our goal - TQ but in the 1/8 the first warning was soon given to us when in the first round at the end of the straight the car went forward without any control and crashed into the safety network, Fortunately there was no damage and after we switched the receiver and verified everything we prepared the car for the finals. Everything was ok until the lap 18 when the trouble with electronics started again car hit the barrier in almost maximum speed and even we tried to fix it, due to a lot of damage we were not able to come back to the race. It´s second race lost this year.
In 1/10 everything went well and all the effort helping our team mates paid off with first 4 places taken by XRAY NT1, Bruno won the race one lap ahead second place.
