Race Report by Eric Ortega
The 2nd Round of the Mexican Nationals was held in Chihuahua, one of the most aggressive tracks we have in Mexico. We had 90 cars from all over Mexico registered for the event. After a few issues in practice on Friday, Luis and his dad had his XRAY buggy and truggy ready for qualifying on Saturday. After 3 rounds of qualifying, Luis was in 2nd place in both classes. He was very happy with the performance as both vehicles were working perfectly. He spent Saturday night preparing the cars for the finals.

On Sunday, Luis ran the semis for both classes. In buggy, everything went well and he finished in 1st place to move on to the final round. In truggy, bad luck caused a failure after an awkward jump landing. Even after a quick repair, the time lost on the track was too much, and Luis’s day was done in truggy.

In the 45 minute buggy final, all went well with Luis keeping the top position for nearly the entire race. It was a great finish to the weekend. We were very happy with the results for Luis and the XRAY XB8 2014.
