The 2014 AMSCI Italian Outdoor Nationals were held on 14th and 15th June in Cassino, Rme L.Collari track. More than 50 drivers were divided in two classes: 13.5 Blinky (E-Stock) and Modified (E-1). Weather was not good on Saturday so the race was very difficult.
Qualifying E-1:
First qualification was completely under the rain and only few drivers decided to start. In the other qualifications the weather was good and the track started to get more grip heat after heat. Antonio Di Prisco took the pole position in front of Nicola Marrone, Alessandro Brunelli and me.
Qualifying E-Stock:
Same story also for E-Stock class. Mattia Collinaâ™s car was very fast and easy to drive and it allowed him to get the Pole Position. Mattia was followed by Valter Cola and Marco Puleo.
Final result E-1:
Nicola Marrone won the first final, Brunelli was 2nd and Pignotti 3rd. I was touched at the start arriving only 7th. I won the second final taking advantage from a crash at the start between first positions. Marrone had a penalty at last final so Brunelli was 1st, Nicola 2nd and I was 3rd.

Final result E-Stock:
Mattia in the finals confirmed his leadership winning the first two finals getting the Italian Champion title also in outdoor. Cola won the last final after a tight fight with Collina. Mattia was followed by Marco Puleo and Andrea Valerio, to complete a XRAY podium.
