This weekend was the last race of the Portuguese national. The championship fight was just between Miguel and his teammate Bruno.
All eyes were on this fight because of the two who was ahead at the end would win it. But nobody remembered that there was the possibility that we being tied at the end.
At the beginning of the final I started from 4 behind Bruno and quickly after 3 or 4 laps I was in 1 and always gaining advantage on Bruno which was my direct rival currently and until the end in 4.
Not long past and Bruno was 1 lap behind and I went into conservation mode to preserve tires because the track was very hard on tires, saving fuel because the engine I used was only doing 6:30 with a tank and keep the car in one piece until the end. With all that I let the second place and at the end of the race I was past by the third that made 2 pit stops less than I and finished just 2 seconds ahead of me without me trying any type of attack because at the time everyone thought it was enough for me to win the championship.
Unfortunately the third place meant that I ended up tied with Bruno (with the same points) but the rules say that the tiebreaker is the race that theoretically you throw away, and in that case Bruno wins because in that race I have a DNF in the semi!
For XRAY it was a very good overall result with 4 cars in the top 10, being first, second, fifth and sixth.
