The first indoor nationals was held in Randers in Denmark, in a big sports hall. The track was looking very nice, but the carpet was not the carpet you were looking to race RC cars on. The carpet hair was so long that every time we have raced 5 minutes you should use 30 minutes + just to clean the car from carpet, and I saw many guys there used many new ball bearings.
The carpet was very strange to drive, it was like you have turned to the right and it just donâ™t stop until the carpet was laid down.The grip level never become good and with this long hair carpet it was a little hard to drive, but the track has a very nice layout and a good flow!

It was Saturday and it was the first time I should drive the new XRAY T4â™15, after a day of practice I have the fastest laptime and I was very confident with how the car was working!
Sunday was the raced day, we got our tires form the race control and I begun to take my tire machine and sandpaper in use, because of the carpet new tires just not was working until you have taken the shiny of the tire.
In the qualys I make some good runs, but I had a lot of mistakes, and could see that fast Patrick Hornum had found a good speed, and was some seconds faster than me. But I was trying to get my car a little bit easier because the carpet begun to become very hard to drive, in the last qualy the XRAY T4â™15 was very good and easy and I was almost as fast as Patrick Hornum.

First final was a good start for me, Patrick made a mistake in the first corner, and I took the lead! I was trying to hold back fast Patrick Hornum but after 2,5 minutes mark Patrick was trying to go on my inside but hit my rear so it spun out and his body get tuck in the wheel. I could drive still in front but not long because my car has been out of the racing line and in the long hair, and Hornum was in the rear end of me again, after I made a mistake Hornum got by and won the Final in front of me.
Second final was not a good start, Hornum got a bad start and I was trying to take it easy as I could see he has no grip at all, and I got hit in the rear and my body get tucked.. Agian later it got tucked and Patrick Hornum was too long in front of me and won this final, to become the overall winner of round 1. I was down in the last position, but I got back in 3rd position after the 5 minute mark after some close racing.
Last final I was just taking it easy, Hornum was fast and was trying to beat some lap times. I could take home the 2nd spot in this final with some safe taktick driving to get the 2nd overall. Morten Iversen who made a good second final got in the 3rd spot overall.
