A last minute decision resulted in us entering into round 6 of the nitrocross series at Swindon. Unfortunately the nitro class was full but it gave me a chance to run my XB8E, which I had not had the opportunity to run in a while. This was a good 3 hour drive for us to the track and an early 5.30 am start was needed.

We arrived to find a good looking compact AstroTurf track with some technical sections and great elevation changes.

In practice I unfortunately had an issue with my receiver meaning I had to retire. We sorted the issue out and changed the car to my gas buggy set up and this was much easier to drive, with thicker roll bars to reduce the weight transfer on the high grip surface. Into rounds 2 and 3 I was still getting to grips with the track layout but scored a second and third in round, putting me third on the grid for the 15 minute final. Making a clean start I managed to pull away from the field. I made a mistake and briefly dropped back to third position. From here I made a couple of passes and took a comfortable win by 21 seconds. My XB8E was planted allowing me to post a lap-time over 1 second quicker than anyone else in the final.

Huge thanks to XRAY for the continued support.
