On Friday I was going to Vejle RC for two days of practice before we had to drive to the DRCMU race on Sunday. I have driven through only 3 battery packs with the T2'007 car, so it was very good for me to get a lot of practice before the race. But from the first battery pack the car was good and fast, and getting better and better.
The big battle was between Steen Graversen, Jonas Kaerup, and myself. It was very very close, with the top 3 cars separated by only 2 seconds in qualification.
After qualification the top 3 were:
1. Jonas Kaerup
2. Steen Graversen
3. Martin Lissau XRAY T2’007
In the first final I used 0.75mm shims in the front wheels, making the car 1.5mm wider in the front. That made the car better… MUCH better ! During the first final my battery dumped so I ended up in 3rd. In the second final I was battling for 1st place, but Jonas had better lines so I ended up finishing 2nd. The same happened in the third (last) final.
