X1, X4, X4F and X12 win at Czech Championship, Round 3 |

On Saturday 16.11. was the third and last race of the Czech Republic Electric Track National championship. The race took place in the big hall in Prague Dubec, the place where the Czech Master Series by Hudy Series is usually held. Although the Czech rules do not require a warmup race, after an agreement with the section head coach Ales Horak and the race organizer Marcel Dostal, the warmup took place during the first round of the Czech Master Series.
The race started on Friday 15.11. with practice runs from 19h in the categories and ended just before midnight. There was a lot of interest from the drivers and on Friday over 70% of the cars from the total number of registered drivers appeared on the track.
Saturday's race day started with a free and timed practice session, which set the starting positions for the qualifying runs. This was followed by a discussion where Ales Horak (Head Coach), Marcel Dostal (Race Director) and Tomas Knopp (Referee) presented the structure and basic rules of the race day.
In the Electric Track 1/10 MODIFIED category, this year's national champion was already known, because Maty Knopp won the first two races and became the junior and for the first time also the adult champion of the Czech Republic. The fight for other positions was open. Jirka Vysin, Oliver Havranek, Karel Kratochvil and other drivers promised a great race. Jakub Rozycki from Poland, whom our nitro and modified drivers know very well, also entered this race.
Maty Knopp won the qualification and TQ for the final runs, Oliver Havránek took second place, Jakub Rozycki third, Jirka Vysin fourth and another junior Jaro Kriz fifth.
Maty won the first two finals, Oliver was unlucky with contact with drivers and his own mistakes and so the last final run was decided, which Maty did not ride. Even in the last final Oliver was not lucky and so the order of the first three places was as follows:
The Electric Track 1/10 STOCK 13,5T category was represented by the same number of drivers as the Modified, i.e. 22 drivers took to the start. The title fight was wide open and it was to be decided between Simon Horak, who won the first race, and Lukas Hoch, who won the second race. To make it not easy, fast drivers who did not take part in the previous two races, Jaro Kriz and Jakub Plechac, joined the battle.
Jaro Kriz showed his strength and won all the qualifying runs to get the TQ. After a close battle Jakub Plechac took second place ahead of Lukas Hoch and Simon Horak.The final runs confirmed Jaro's dominance and he won the race. Jakub Plechac wasn't so lucky and was passed in the standings by Lukas Hoch and Simon Horak.
It's been a long time since I've seen a full group of Electric Track 1/12 Pancar 6,5T EFRA category at the Czech championship. 10 drivers took the start. Unfortunately, the unevenness of the drivers' performance was crucial for the overall results. Tomáš Lipták paid the most for it, who due to contacts with slower drivers did not confirm his qualifying position and finished in second place. Oliver Havránek took the first place and Marek Frič finished third.
8 drivers took part in the Electric Track 1/12 GT STOCK 13,5T category. Luděk Szostek did not give anyone a chance to think about the first place and so he won the category, Karel Krejcik finished second followed by Tom Menzel.
The Electric Track 1/10 FORMULE 21,5T EFRA category was already without the champion Lukas Hoch, who secured the victory in the first two races and focused only on the Stock 13,5T. Tomas Voborsky, Ladislav Holasek, Jiri Jarolimek and Martin Janicek fought for the victory. Tomas was dominant and won ahead of Jiri and Ladislav
In GTstock category was represented by 7 drivers, Zdenek Cechura dominated all runs and won ahead of Martin Sponar and Ladislav Socha.
