Report by David Ehrbar
The fourth round of the Euro Touring Series (ETS) in Daun last weekend saw a remarkable turnout with over 400 entries, filling the atmosphere with excitement and competitive energy. A large division of the Xray team was present, although some of our top stars could not attend as they were already on the way to the Snowbird’s in Florida.
Nevertheless, Xray had great success, marked by outstanding performances from several racers.
Jaroslav Kriz was unbeatable in the 21.5T class, delivering an impeccable performance that secured him the top spot. The dominance of the X4’25 in this category was shown once more, as Bajusz Junior Zsolt and Kristian Jensen completed the Podium with their X4’25, with 5x X4’25 in the A main.

I took victories in both the 40+ and Formula 1 categories. In 40+ it started well, and I go a bit off pace in A1, when I made a too conservative setup change. Therefore we got really tight fighting in all finals, and in the end I could win. René Kölbl also had an amazing race, making it a Xray 1-2 for us in the 40+ category.

In the Formula 1 category, I had to fight with a quite narrow setup window on this track. Therfore my car was a bit difficult to drive at times. Still I managed to win all qualifying and finals. And in the finals my X1’25 was amazing. Many many thanks to Chris Grenz who prepared my car, so I could focus working on the X4’25 and on my racing. But also Thomas Stenger showed a great performance at his first ETS for Team Xray, resulting in his first podium finish, and the team as a whole really delivered, with 9x X1’25 in the A main.

Another driver to mention is Alex Stocker. After several years away from RC, he returned in spectacular form, making it to the A finals in the FWD (6th) and 40+ (5th overall) categories. We will certainly see more of him in the future.
Adam Izsay also showed a strong performance, fighting for the win in 17.5t Pro Stock (finishing 2nd), and also finishing in 5th place in the modified class. Congrats!
The team spirit at the event was outstanding, with racers supporting each others.
I tried to help as many drivers as I could, but also the overall atmosphere was amazing, and we had so many great guys helping others improving their cars with setup tipps, and putting the cars through tech and to the track. This cooperative atmosphere undoubtedly played a part in the team's overall success.
