Race Report - French Championship 1/8th Open Class - Round 1 (ARCA16)
Pole position and victory for the first round of the season!
This weekend at ARCA16, I had the opportunity to kick off the French Championship 1/8th Open Class in style. The event was marked by challenging weather conditions, with a wet track on Saturday for the three qualifying rounds. Luckily, we had an almost dry track for the finals on Sunday, which allowed for some great racing!
I secured pole position early in the morning, which set the tone for the day.
During the race, everything went smoothly—I managed to take a small lead early on and controlled the pace throughout to claim victory.
Shoutout to my teammates:
• Yorick Gulling, who reached his first-ever final in the Elite class—well done!
• Thomas Eytard, who had some bad luck after needing to replace his battery pack, costing him a potential podium finish.
• Lucas Aubain, who took the win in the National class—great job!
Flawless equipment!
Big thanks to all the brands that supported us. My car was on point this weekend: engine, chassis, servos, fuel, and tires performed perfectly
Looking forward to the second round of the championship.
