The fifth round of BRCA Nationals took place last weekend in UK. An old school track met us for round 5 of the National series. Loose, grippy, dusty, clean, smooth, bumpy, changeable, the lot! It was really fun once you got the hang of it!
Piloting my XRAY XB8 with FX 303L engine was a joy! Getting used to the bumps throughout the weekend and having to think about your driving line and throttle inputs was a great change from the new norm! Hot race Sahara in soft were dialed!
P7 after qualifying and then moving through the semi final in P2 and lining up 3rd on the grid. I would have a great battle with Will until he suffered a failure and then I cruised home to a solid season ending P2 overall only 21 seconds behind the supreme Bootsy, showing all his world beating speed to win again.
This 2nd gave me the +40 win and 4th overall in the championship after also missing a round.
A big thank you to Liam and Rebecca for the help all year and Craig for being my pit buddy and painting my awesome bodies. Thanks to the team XRAY for the laughs.
This also marked the last 1/8th race for my good friends Neil, Dave, Skelds and Killer. Will miss you guys!
