I am the new Finnish Champion with my Xray XB8'e in the 1/8th electric class for 2025!!!
Last weekend the 1/8e Finnish championship was held in Tattarisuo, which went really well.
Practices went well in the morning and I was the fastest in the practice heats and my Xray XB8e'2025 felt really good.
In the qualis I managed to drive a TQ from the first round, in the second quali the track dried out a bit in the morning and made the track slippery so I couldn't drive a very good result and I was second. Before the last quali I changed my car a little and it worked really well in the last heat and I had a fair lead but on the last lap my car hit a hole on the track and I had a long fall, which is why I lost the overall TQ.
I knew that I had good speed going into the finals and I knew that I could win the race and I had to win to win the Finnish championship.
In the first final I had a really good start and I managed to get in the lead on the first lap and I had a good race with Teppo Kauppinen I made one mistake in the final and he got ahead of me but I managed to drive him fast and I got past him and I managed to win the first final!
Going into the second final I had pressure because I knew that I had to win in order to take the Finnish championship but I knew that it wouldn't be easy but I had a good start again and I managed to get in the lead in the first laps and I drove really confidently and flawlessly and won the second final!
I am really happy with my victory and my Finnish championship and I want to thank everyone who has supported me during the summer and helped me, specially team Euro RC!
And congratulations to @pekko_iivonen for his 1/8 Finnish championship!
I have had a tight race with @kristian_ullakko_rc all season and we have had a tight race for wins and TQ:s in every race but i managed to beat him this year but i want to congratulate him for 2nd place.
Now i am already starting a looking forward to the coming winter season and the winter races!
