The 5th and last round of the 2025 Austrian National Championship 1/10 Buggy on astro took place last week at RMC Wien in Ebreichsdorf.
The event started on Saturday with free practice, followed by reseeding and one round of qualifying. The other 3 quali rounds took place on Sunday as well as the final runs.
2WD Qualifyng went better on my side, as I managed to get the overall TQ with my XB2 after winning Q1 and Q3, in front of Hupo Honigl and Lucas Grainer. In 4WD it was Robin Riedman on TQ with his XB4 in front of Hupo and me.
2WD finals brought some exciting fights between myself and Hupo, I managed to come on top in A1, Hupo took A2 as I suffered a DNF, so the battle was on for A3. I kept my head cool to convert my TQ starting position into another leg win and therefore sealing the overall victory. Hupo finished 2nd overall and Lucas 3rd.
In 4WD all three final legs were quite chaotic on this technical track. Hupo managed to come out on top after he added a win from A3 to his 2nd place finish from the runs before, where we battled it out until the last lap. Robin Riedman took overall 2nd after winning A2 and Dominik Vlasek completed podium with an A1 win, which has eventually droped myself back to P4 with some unlucky moments in the first two final legs.
Nevertheless, XRAY was on point in all classes, as also Adrian Honigl won the Stock 4WD and 2WD to secure 4x XRAY win at the event. The XB2s and XB4s performer great on every level of driving on this demanding astro track conditions.
