Last weekend we raced the second round of Nitro 1:8 nationals in the renew track of Fiorano.
Track is normally high traction but last rains make condition different.
We had Friday free practice day and already car was working good. We harder oils and modify rear geometry to have more rear stability.
4mm front caster and rear move of the shocks in lower position with almost zero play on the springs make the set up.
On Saturday we set lap record of the track (in handout tyres). I make few mistakes in qualy and my team mate Luca Romagnoli set the Tq, me P2 and Salemi P3.
Due to the bad wheater forecat for Saturday, federation decide to short the final to 30 minutes and race on Saturday evening.
My conservative mod make a clear race except a thrilling moment where I had an excursion on the grass and lost the side belt. My father put another belt on and with a minute to recover I try to push without mistakes.
I than finish in P3 with Luca in P2, and Fabrizio Iori in P4 also with RX8ยด26.
In Sport class Lorenzo Grani fight for the victory until end and finish P2
With P2 achieved at the 1st nats round and the P3 now I become National Champion 2025 Expert class!
