Report by Nicolas Bregante
On October 9, 10, 11, and 12, the only round of the 2025 National Off-Road Championship took place in Funes, Rosario, Argentina. The field featured 95 vehicles in the categories of Open Nitro Buggy, Master + Pro, E Buggy, Master + Pro, Truggy, and Senior Buggy +45.
I would like to congratulate the AeroNorteRcTrack Club for presenting an impeccable track and grounds throughout these four days.
Regarding the competition, the entire Glcompetizione/Xray Team worked together with all the drivers present, achieving excellent results throughout the event.
For my part, I participated in the Nitro Buggy Pro and E Buggy Pro categories. I achieved excellent pace from the start, with three consecutive best laps in the free practice sessions in both categories. Regarding the classification, I managed to achieve the TQ in the E buggy and a second place in the Nitro Buggy. Where my teammate Matías Cardin took the TQ in a Nitro buggy. On Sunday, we started with winds of over 60 km, and it was quite a challenge to set up the cars to get them airborne. For my part, in the first Buggy E final, I found excellent balance, managing to complete one more lap of the track than the rest of the competitors, taking first place in the final. Unfortunately, in the second, I had an electronics problem, and in the third, a battery cable came unsoldered when I was winning the final with 3 minutes left. I was able to win the fourth final again. Luckily, my teammate Matías Cardin won both finals that I couldn't complete and had a second place in another, achieving the National title in the Buggy E. I was able to take third place.
In the Buggy Nitro Pro final, Matías Cardin started from first place and I was second, both Xray Fx. We started a great battle for first place during the first quarter of the competition, until Matías Cardin had to retire due to a vehicle problem. After 45 minutes, we were able to take the final with a 2-lap lead over the second-place finisher. My Xray Fx K303 combo ran perfectly all weekend .
In the last 4 national races, Xray Fx K303 has taken the Major Title. 2022 Nico Bregante, 2024 Matías Cardin, and 2025 Nico Bregante. This speaks to the teamwork we put in and how competitive this combo is!
