The 2025 RCRA Speedy RC Australian National Championships were held over the weekend at West Coast Model RC in Perth, Western Australia.
In Modified Touring Car class, I would topped three of the five rounds to secure the overall TQ ahead of Brayden Stanley, Jeffrey Mackie, Damon Davis-Perry, and Antoni Caretti.
The triple A-Mains delivered close battles. I converted from pole position into a win in A1. Hamon took A2 to set up a deciding final. In A3, I managed to take another win to secure my first Australian National title. Hamon would finish second overall, while Caretti moved up to complete the podium in third.
In Stock Touring Car, Michael Stone dominated qualifiers and took a straight forward TQ. A chaotic first final saw crashes from the majority of the field allow Askwell to take the win in A1. Stone came back strongly to win A2 and A3, securing the Stock Touring Car National Championship. Askell had to settle for second overall, with Lincoln Codd, the defending champion, rounding out the podium in third.
The 2025 Nationals once again highlighted the strength of Australian on-road racing, with competitive fields and tight racing throughout all classes. The event was superbly hosted by West Coast Model RC with the support of Speedy RC and RCRA.
