XRAY takes double victory at the 2026 EFRA 1/12 European Championships!
The 2026 EFRA 1/12 European Championships was held at the Paradise Racing Arena facilities in Venetico in Sicily, Italy. The race saw some 40 drivers in 6.5T modified, and 50 drivers in the 13.5T blinky stock class.
In modified, I was able to put my car on the TQ position for the finals, after winning 4 out of 5 qualifiers. After winning A1 with a big margin, and leading A2 up until only two laps were remaining, an unfortunate racing incident handed the A2 win to XRAY driver Mathias Nedrebo, in front of Jan Ratheisky! This brought the title fight into A3. In A3, I was able to fend off a hard charging Marc Rheinard, eventually pull away, to secure the title. It felt fantastic to win yet another title with my XRAY X12! Mathias Nedrebo finished in a strong runner-up spot with his X12 as well! XRAY had 7 out of 10 cars in the A-main final!
In the stock class, Adam Izsay picked up his pace during qualifying, to eventually challenge for the TQ spot towards the later rounds. He would line up 2nd on the grid for the finals. In the finals, Adam put on a masterful display of driving, eventually scoring a win and a 2nd place as his results, winning the meeting on a tie break (best overall time)! This makes it Adam’s 3rd European Championship title in less than 12 months, and in 3 different categories - hats off to this achievement! XRAY had 3x cars in the A-main final, with Jan Ratheisky and Mathias Nedrebo also making it into the show with their XRAY cars!
Thanks to all XRAY drivers for your great results throughout the weekeend! Thanks to EFRA, and Paradise Racing Arena for a great organization! We hope to be back at this venue some day!
