The Norwegian Nationals R2 was on a dirt surface at Arendal. A surface that is run just once a year in Norway and on a track that is dimensioned for 1/8 buggys makes the race very difficult and demanding. Most of the drivers including Martin had not prioritized testing on the track because of focus on the upcoming Nordic Championship and the Euros, both on Astro surface. Still a very fun race.

The qualification started well, winning Q1 and 2nd in Q2. In the last qualifier the fight for TQ was between Martin Skar and Halvor Gran following each other with just a second margin forth and back the whole run. In the end Halvor managed to claim the TQ by just a second.
In the A mains Martin had a great fight with both Halvor Gran and Bastian Andreassen. Halvor was too strong and won all 3 finals. Martin managed to claim the 2nd place just ahead of Bastian Andreassen.
Martin: My Xray XB4 worked great the whole day.
Congrats to Halvor and Bastian on the podium

Podium also in 2wd. My XB2 was working great. At a very difficult dirt track Bastian Andreassen was much faster than the rest at his home track and won his first Nationals. Congrats to Bastian and to Halvor Gran on 2nd.
