20 teams, two drivers, one car and a four-hour race − this was the challenge in Gland. On Saturday, the teams had just an hour to familiarise themselves with the track and to find a good buggy setup. We were very happy with our XB808 right from the start, which meant that my team partner had time to get used to the car and my transmitter. The condition of the track was good, with excellent grip.
It was full speed ahead for my team partner, Chris Afolter, with the XRAY, and it was a joy to see my buggy being driven so well. Some of the other drivers came up to me saying "Wow, Chris is almost stepping on the gas more than you!" which I was really pleased about. The XB808 is easy to drive, and it's quick! The drivers swapped roughly every 45-60 minutes, not forgetting to change the battery pack of course.

The race was exciting right to the very end and a lot can happen in four hours! We eventually managed second place, which is a great result, just one lap behind the team in first place, WĂĽtrich/Stettler, and nine laps ahead of the team in third place, MĂĽnsti/Hagi.
I would like to thank the BCLC club for hosting this exceptional four-hour race and for providing the traditional evening meal afterwards.
