The 2009 RC Racing season started at the Daytona RC circuit in Nicosia, Sunday 11/1/2009.
J&S Racing & Team Xray Cyprus and their young talent, Xray NT1 Driver and 2008 Champion Thirsos Charalambous look to defend the 1:10 Championship Title.

The day was perfect for racing, despite that the track was wet because of Saturdays rains. It was only a matter before the track would dry as air temperatures up to 20°C.We had 3 Qualifying Rounds and the Finals.

After Round 2 while the Track got dry, Thirsos TQed again few seconds ahead of Vasilis.
In the third round, Vasilis Christoforou managed to take the TQ position from Thirsos and they now began to prepare for the mains.
The A Final was taken place at 12:30, while the track grip was good.

The race was on, and Vasilis was leading the race. Thirsos after a fantastic start managed to launch himself into 2nd position. After 10 laps, Thirsos passed his teammate and for the next 20 minutes both XRAY NT1 top drivers were leading the race, within a few seconds of each other and several laps ahead of the 3rd place driver.
