Three drivers were able to make the overall national victory: Claus Ryeskov (NT1), Palle Hornum (NT1), and Martin N.O Hansen. The chances looked good for Martin as the race was at his home track, but he needed both the TQ point and victory to take home the title.
In qualifying, Martin had problems with his engine and Claus took pole position for the main final.
The opening part of the final was close and with the fast guys battling for the victory, but after 15 minutes of driving Claus’ XRAY NT1 had problems with the 2-speed gearbox. However, by taking care with the engine Claus finished in 2nd place and thus secured his win of the overall championship.
