The 2010 FEMCA GP was held on October 21-23 at ACO Track in Hong Kong.
For the 1/10 Touring 200mm class, there were 60 drivers who participated. There were many local Hong Kong drivers as well as those who came across the sea from Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, etc. Lots of drivers used the XRAY NT1as well.
Our team arrived at the track in the afternoon of Oct-20. The race was moved up because of the typhoon that was coming close to Hong Kong, so the organizer had to race 1 day quicker than the original schedule to avoid the big rain.
I got TQ from round 2, with a 1-sec advantage over the 2nd place driver from Australia.
On the second day of qualifying, the track was wet because of the rain that came down overnight. After the track was dry and they applied sugar water, the grip was really high in Qualifier 4. I didn’t realize that there would be so much grip, so I used the same set-up as day before. After touching in a small corner, the car traction rolled right off the track. I didn’t have another chance to get a better time.
n the 45-minute Final, I lead without any mistakes or problems and ended up in 1st place.
