Race report by Reno Savoya
Every year, Neobuggy.net aka Phil Morstedt put a great work with his crew to organize one of the biggest event in the season, as 240 drivers joined the competition this year! Located in UK in the indoor facility of the Harper Adams University hall, the race is now seen by many as the "Indoor World Championships". It was a great opportunity to evolve once again against the best drivers in the world!

As we are used to now, not much to do on the car to make it fast and easy to drive! For the practices, I just went from my basic set-up to 5-5-3 in the diffs and I felt the car has good traction and steering on the very slippery surface of Harper Adams.

During the practices, I adjusted the set-up of my car around this base. With the team we agreed to say that using short arms position on the rear was better for corner speed with more rotation so this set-up was used by everyone!

Then, we rised the shocks to get a little bit more roll gain in corners and better for the jumps. Getting the proper tyre choice for the changing humidity conditions was also something really touchy. I ran micro contacts pretty much all the week end, without noticing any wear! I could use them for 3 hours!

After some bubbles in the qualifications, I ended up 16th, no worries as the top 22 was directly qualified in the semi! My team mates Martin and Josh also made the semi directly, a good chance to get as many cars as possible into the main!

One weird thing though is the tyre additive polemic. Actually, some drivers got 1sec per lap quicker between qualification day 1 and day 2! There was a strict "no additive" policy for the race, but it was clear that it's impossible to control such a thing with all the products in the market right now plus the personal mixture of some...

My semi went awesome except for the first lap! Actually I took a decent start but rolled over and started last. I pushed for another couple of laps then got into the top 5. Thanks to my 10minutes pit strategy and a clear 15minutes with no crash I could take 3rd place behind Ty Tessman and Ryan Maifield.

As the car was a bit loose after 10 minutes we decided to go higher in shock oil for the main. Unfortunately it also made the car harder to drive and I crashed too many times to hope anything in the main! However, it was really good to get in the main, and to share it was my 2 team mates Martin and Josh who also got their XB9 into the big show!
