The Danish Nationals were recently held at Hillerod RC Center, just outside Copenhagen. The field had been putting in extra practice laps in preparation for the event, so a highly competitive race and tight times were expected.
After the qualifying rounds it was Claus Ryeskov that was most consistent holding position as TQ, followed by Michael Johnson in 2nd and Rasmus Nielsen in 3rd.

The start of the final was a tense affair, with the top 4 cars racing side by side for the first 3 minutes.
After the first pit stop Claus Ryeskov had calmed his nerves and taken control at the front of the field, Rasmus Nielsen was 2nd and Rhys Jenkins 3rd. Two of the fastest drivers had problems in the early stages of the race. Michael Johnson started from the pits after a mechanical problem and Thomas Mortensen went off the track requiring help from his mechanic.

The rest of the race would see these two drivers pushing hard coming through the field. After 15min Thomas had begun to catch up and challenge Claus for position, however, his tires paid the price for the aggressive driving and he was unable to continue at the same pace.
Claus came home in the 1st position followed by the always fast Rasmus B. Nielsen in 2nd and with some new found speed and consistency, Rhys Jenkins in 3rd.
It was a great final with very close racing and no retirements.
