Close to the end of the 2012/2013 ATTIKO championship with the 8 rounds out of 10 XRAY won again both classes 1/10 nitro and 1/10 EP touring. The race took place at FRT with a changed layout again. In 8 races we have raced 4 different layouts. Totomis grab the TQ at the last lap of the qualification with a very fast time.
As always I took the 11th place on the grid as I organized the race and the lower finals and qualifications. After a bad start and some incidents and technical problems before the 1st pitstop I was 2nd behind Nikiforos’ XRAY. At 7th min I was 1st, one lap ahead of the rest of the field and kept the pace till the end. There was much more happening behind me were drivers battled the whole race for the 2nd and 3rd place.
This was a great win in front of very good racers like Totomis and Sotiropoulos J. multiple Greek champion. I am an old, not fast racer with not very good eyes but the car was once again reliable and easy to make steady laps. Thanks to my mechanic Konstadopoulos for great preparation. XRAY swept the whole podium of stock nitro class.
Again the electric touring class followed. This was an easy race for XRAY driver Georgiades. He won all qualification and final rounds. He is already Greek champion and now he is also already ATTIKO championship winner even with still 2 more rounds to come.
