The 19th round of the LRP-HPI-Challenge (middle group) was held in Andernack, a very popular track in Germany. The race attracted 50 drivers who were divided in 4 classes : Rookie, Classic, Stock 17.5t + GT and Stock 10.5t. The track is pretty big but the layout of this year make the track very technical. The traction was pretty good from the begining but the extremely hot condition (39°C in the air and more than 60°C on the track) made the race very difficult, especially in the afternoon.

I arrived on Saturday morning to the racetrack. I just rebuilt the shocks with fresh oil, set-up my car and it was time for a testing day. I find some good tips, for example the ARS system worked very well on this track.

The race started on Sunday. I TQed 2 rounds of qualify out of 3 and I put the fastest time (early morning on new tires) which gave me the overall TQ. The finals were very close with Thorsten. In the first one, he was catching me during 6 minutes until his car stopped. In the second one, my car was very difficult to drive maybe due to weather condition but with a faultless driving I was able to win it. In the third one I tried a small set-up change which made my car better and won it.
