Race report by Pierre Delorme
The fourth round of French nationals took place in Tours in the centre of France. More than 70 drivers were present in 3 different classes: Modified TC, Stock 10.5 Blinky TC and Formula One 21.5.

The track is very specific with different conditions combined on the track: one part cold with a lot of grip and another hot with less grip because of a bridge above the track which cover the half of the track. It was difficult to find a setup that work on both parts to be fast on an entire lap.

Three free practices took place on Saturday morning and then two controlled practices for reseeding. In stock class, I toped-seed, my XRAY T4’15 was working perfectly powered with Trinity Batteries and Motors in front of Romain Delaunay (XRAY) and Steve Favrelle. In Modified, LĂ©o Arnold toped-seed in front of Alexandre Laurent (XRAY) and JĂ©rĂ©my Limoges (XRAY). In Formula One, Jeremy Limoges (XRAY) toped-seed followed by Georges Saux (XRAY) and Cyril N’Diaye.

Two rounds of qualification out of five are taken in account to make the qualification ranking list. In stock class, I won the first two rounds but small mistakes and some wrong setup changes cost me the 1st place on the grid, Arnaud Soulignac won also two qualifications but one faster than me. I ranked 2nd followed by Romain Delaunay (XRAY), Steve Favrelle and my brother Jean 5th (XRAY).In Modified Leo Arnold took the 1st place followed by Thomas Vigneron, Alexandre Laurent (XRAY), Jeremy Limoges(XRAY) and Cyril N’Diaye. In Formula One, Cyril N’Diaye and Jeremy Limoges (XRAY) both won 2 rounds but Cyril was faster and started on pole. They were followed by Georges Saux, HervĂ© Becet and Steve Olanier.

During the finals tyre strategy took a great place in touring categories! In Stock class, I was trapped with new tyres which needed another setup compared of used tyres I used in qualifications so I couldn’t fight for the first place, I finished 2nd and my brother 3rd. In the second final I had the faster car, I tried during the whole 5 minutes to pass Arnaud but it was impossible! I finished 2nd followed by Romain Delaunay (XRAY). In the third final I was on the first place because Arnaud won the race, my car worked perfectly and I won easily the last final followed by my brother and Julien Nicol (XRAY). In modified, Alexandre Laurent (XRAY) won the first final followed by Thomas Vigneron and Cyril N’Diaye. Leo Arnold won the last two finals and the race in front of Alexandre Laurent (XRAY) and Thomas Vigneron. In formula One, Cyril N’Diaye won the first two finals and the race; Jeremy Limoges (XRAY) won the last final, he’s followed by Georges Saux (XRAY).
