This week end was the 1/8 on road French cup in Limoges. For me it was my first race with XRAY, and my first ever 1/8 driving. On Friday afternoon and Saturday morning we had controlled practice. I was focused on my driving style during this practice.

In the qualification, I was in the group 1 and lost many seconds behind the slower cars. So at the end I got the 14th place. My team mate Thomas Eytard did a great job and place his car on the 4th place.
I started 2nd in the quarter final B. At the start I immediately took the lead and won this race with 2 laps on Christophe Aygon. So I bumped up into the semis with the number 6.
During the first lap I was able to take the 3rd position behind Sebastien Zatla, after 3 laps I passed him and was 2nd behind Adrien Bertin. In this semi I found the feeling with the car and the laptime was faster and faster, 16.24 for me and 16.27 for Adrien Bertin. At the end I finish 2nde of the semi, 5 seconds behind Adrien and with 2 laps on the 3rd car.

For the finals I started with the number 2. In the first minute I had the opportunity to pass Adrien but I didn't find the way. After this first minute, I made some mistakes and Adrien stretched his lead over me. At 20 minutes he had 9 seconds ahead. At this moment, I had a front tire problem and lost some steering in the corner. So Thomas Desmaries could close the gap on me and was able to pass me. 5 minutes before the end Adrien had a problem on his car and had to retire from the race. This last 5 minutes was very close between Thomas and me and at the end I finish 2nd 2 seconds behind Thomas

For a first 1/8 race, I didn't expect that but all was going in the good way. I want to thank Thomas Eytard for the help on the car this weekend and Valentin for being my mechanic.
