The Hudy Indoor Champs marks the first large carpet race of the year, the dates of the event were Jan 8-9-10 and it was held at Pro Level Raceway in St Louis MO. This year there was extra attention on this event as âśPro Levelâť is the site of the upcoming ROAR Carpet nationals.
The format for the event was simple with Friday practice, Saturday Qualifying and a last chance qualifier and finals on Sunday. Being the signature âśHUDYâť event of the year in North America, of course there were many drivers in attendance. Just to name a few, Drew Ellis, Craig Xavier, Sam Issacs, Paul Lemieux, Dan Hamann, Chris Adams and more were all in attendance for support. As a special perk, Pro Level RC and the Ellis family catered a meal and made sure all attendees were well fed!

Mod TC
Paul Lemieux controlled most of qualifying and after a clean start in the final was able to pull a good lead on Chris Adams, Chris was not to be denied and came back in the end to Finnish a Very close second, Cody Woods would have a great drive to come to third!.

TC 13.5
Sam Isaacs and Kyle Klingforth were the class of the field battling threw out qualifying and the final. In the end it was Sams flawless driving getting the TQ and the win in a super close race, Chris Adams would battle threw to round out the podium.
TC 17.5 was much a mirror of TC 13.5 with Sam and Kyle pacing each other all weekend, Sam would again have the edge to TQ and run a flawless final for the win. This time it would be Cory Parsons who would have the edge to get to the podium.

12th Mod
12th Mod saw the battle in qualifying between Joe Trandell and Max Kuennung, Max would up the pace for TQ and after a clean start in the final cruise to victory over Joe Trandell and a deserving third would be Mike Pulfer.

TQ Joe trandell got out front and was able to maintain over the field. Max and Mitch would battle but it was Max to second and Mitch Whitteman to settle for third.

12th 17.5
TQ Joe Trandell was the class of the field but a early mistake dropped him way back and seemingly unable to recover. From that moment it was Mitch, Max and Shawn leading at times with Corey close all along. This was the most exciting final of the weekend with many lead changes. The end result would be Mitch Whitteman keeping his head down to snag the victory over Shawn Rayfield and Cory parsons in third.

After a crazy start it was Tony block who pulled ahead at the start. After Tony it was a bit of a mix up. Having great drives were Dwight Smith and Rob King making it to the final podium spots.

In the F1 final Jim Piersol got out front and didnâ™t look back, many battles ensued behind but it was Jack Klober who pulled to second With Rob King Again raising to the podium!
