The fifth round of XRAY Winter Series 2015/16 took place last weekend in Kolin. As in previous rounds the track was built in on-road style with removable jumps (as there are both on-road and off-road classes racing on one track).
In practice I was getting used to drive again on slick tyres, especially in 2wd where I was struggling with low grip, but after few changes on my XB2, car worked great.
In 2wd qualifications my XB2 managed to take overall TQ ahead of XB2s of Zdenek Miksovsky and Martin Korinek locking TOP 3.
In 4wd qualifications I made two mistakes in Q1, which resulted in the 2nd place, but then took TQ in Q2&Q3 and my XB4’16 gained overall TQ with Milan Mudra in 2nd and Zdenek Miksovsky in 3rd, both with XB4’16.
In 2wd finals my Orion powered XB2 worked great and won easily all three finals! Zdenek Miksovsky defended 2nd place and Milan Mudra finished 3rd, locking TOP 3 for XRAY!
In 4wd finals my XB4’16 dominated finals by winning both A1&A2 and taking overall win! TOP 3 was the same as in 2wd as Zdenek managed to take 2nd place overall after some nice battles with Milan Mudra!
